Stephanie was the catalyst for this story. Ayanna is a therapist and founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/monetscounseling.wixsite.com\/mcscs\">Monet\u2019s\nCounseling Services<\/a>, which encourages\nyou to \u201cLive your best life!\u201d Frank wraps up the segment with a story of how he\nfound himself homeless after serving 8 years in the Air Force. Frank followed a\nmore traditional approach to therapy, relying more on a newfound faith in God,\nsomething that, surprisingly, was denied to him growing up as a boy in the\nsegregated south.<\/p>--><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In part three, we speak to Ayanna McCullough.&nbsp; Ayanna is a therapist and founder of Monet&#8217;s Counseling Services, which encourages you to, &#8220;live your best life.&#8221;&nbsp; She discusses the influence the black church has had on African Americans, and their views on combatting mental health issues.&nbsp; She also touches upon mental health issues currently facing blacks who are incarcerated, and the indignities of African Americans face in their day to day lives, such as being followed around in stores.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Episode 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the second podcast of our Black Health 2.0 series on Mental Health, subtitled, &#8220;Black Folks Don&#8217;t Go To Therapy,&#8221; we spoke to Tori White and Kristen Maynard.&nbsp; Tori is a therapist with Creative Pathways Counseling and Consulting, LLC.
